American Blonde
Born in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, American Blonde isn’t just a country duo — they’re a musical force shaped by the rich heritage from the birthplace of blues. Sisters Natalia “Nata” Morris and Christina “Tinka” Morris have taken their upbringing and turned it into something unique — a blend of honest, upbeat, and energetic country rock. Their harmonies, honed from years of playing together, create a powerful and distinct sound that has captivated audiences worldwide.
From the outset, American Blonde has made a name for themselves in the country music scene. At just 16 and 15 years old, Nata and Tinka had their first major break when they performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville as finalists in the Texaco Country Showdown, hosted by Lee Ann Rimes. That early opportunity catapulted them into a whirlwind career that’s taken them from local stages to international tours. In 2017, they completed three tours across Europe, where they performed at prestigious events like the Country Brit Awards and the David Gest Memorial Concert, sharing the stage with icons like Dionne Warwick.
Back in the U.S., American Blonde has performed across major cities and made their mark on country radio, with multiple singles charting in the Top 20s and 30s on platforms like MusicRow, Country Aircheck, and Country Billboard. Their music has garnered attention from top outlets including Billboard, iHeart Radio, Rolling Stone Country, and Guitar Girl Magazine, positioning them as rising stars with a distinctive sound and message.
The duo has shared the stage with country heavyweights such as Billy Currington, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Maren Morris, and B.B. King, among many others. Their live performances have earned them a reputation for delivering high-energy shows, whether they’re opening for major acts or headlining their own gigs.
At the core of American Blonde’s artistry is their songwriting. Nata, the principal songwriter, brings life experiences and vivid storytelling to every song, while Tinka fine-tunes the melodies, harmonies, and beats. Their collaborative spirit has led them to work with renowned songwriters like Josh Leo, Tim Nichols, and Catt Gravitt, further cementing their presence in the Nashville songwriting community.
Beyond their musical accolades, American Blonde’s philanthropic spirit shines. The sisters have raised over $25,000 for Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS, and continue to support charitable causes close to their hearts. With a clear vision, deep roots, and an ever-evolving sound, American Blonde is carving their place in the country music landscape with authenticity and passion.
